Execute pathway#

Use the Execute pathway node to run a different pathway on the host machine that runs Ensemble.

Properties#

The Execute pathway node has two properties:

  • Source: this field specifies from where to get the pathway's information.
    • Database
    • Local File
    • Parameter
    • URL
  • pathway: this field contains information about the pathway, such as the pathway ID, URL, or a file.
  • Mode: choose whether to Run once with all items or Run once for each item. Selecting Run once for each item makes the node execute for every input item in turn.

Set up and use a child pathway#

Find a pathway ID#

  1. Open the pathway for which you want to get the pathway ID.
  2. Copy the number after pathway/ in your URL and paste that in the pathway ID field.

How data passes between pathways#
