How do I configure the Agent calculator node?#
An agent node uses the Calculator to process mathematical calculations locally, rather then converting them to tokens to be processed by a Large Language Model.
Before you begin#
- Add a chain node to the pathway
- Connect the Agent calculator as a Tool on the Chain node
Testing the node#
A successful test adds a green highlight to the Chat trigger, Agent node and Calculator node.
- Click Execute previous nodes in the Input panel to open the Chat trigger dialog.
- Enter a calculation.
- Close the Chat trigger dialog
- Open the Agent calculator node to view the input calculation sent by the Chat trigger, and the calculation output sent back.
Viewing and output parameters#
Input and output parameters can be viewed after a successful test.
