Part 1 - create a pathway that can be called by a parent#
This configuration sets up a relationship between a parent and child pathway.
Additional nodes can be added as required.

Step 1 - Create the pathway#
Before you begin#
- Learn about writing expressions in Ensemble nodes
- Learn about data mapping using expressions
- Add two pathways, a parent and child
- Learn how to find a pathway ID
Step 1 - Add the execute pathway trigger#
The Execute pathway trigger should be the first node added to the pathway.
- Click Pathways > Add pathway
- Click > Search for Execute pathway
- Click Execute pathway > Click When called by another workflow
- Click Save
Step 2 - Allow pathway to be called by a parent#
- Click > Settings
- Select an option for This pathway can be called by:

| Pathways created by me | Pathway can be reused only by the pathway owner | Parent-child relationship possible if parent owned by current user |
| Selected pathways | A comma-separated list of pathway IDs can reuse this pathway | Specify parent pathway for parent-child relationship |
| Any pathway | Any pathway can access the pathway | Select for parent-child relationship |
